EMPLOYMENT IS EVERYBODY'S BUSINESS

WHAT IS MARKETHON ?

The MARKETHON is related to the number 1 concern fo French and European people : EMPLOYMENT and WORK.
One can say that MARKETHON is to Employment what the National Campaign for Traffic Accident Prevention is to Road Safety, or what the Condom Campaign is to AIDS, or even Telethon to health.
MARKETHON is about to become an annual operation at the National, and probably the European level. Its aim is to give an impetus to the world of Job Searchers in liaison with the aim of the enterprises and institutions, private or public the most active in this field.
For this reason, the MARKETHON is dedicated to the "Work Volunteers", in other words all those who strongly and willingly look for a job. It promotes Work Search as a dynamic professional gesture witch deserves respect and help.

As a new concept born in 1992, MARKETHON is a pioneer in its field aggressiveness. To-day it gave rise to numerous initiatives and variations in the matter of direct Employment Search, used by government bodies.

THE PRINCIPLE

Everybody has free access to MARKETHON. It is dedicated to a collective Search of promises of Employment which, the very same day, turn into hundreds of simultaneous Job-Rallys towards all enterprises, small businesses and industries and local activities.
MARKETHON is run in teams, either from official starting points, or self-starting from any sites, towns or villages in France, Europe ou elsewhere.
The professional encounters are direct, spontaneous and on a person-to-person basis. A freedom of initiative is left to participants : choice of contacts, zone of action, geographical area.
The primary principle of MARKETHON is very simple. Its objective is to multiply by 10, 100, 1000, 10 000 the possibility of finding a job for each Markethonian, thanks to a group dynamics in which anyone first looks for others and conversely. Therefor there is no competition, but a great solidarity between participants.

WHAT DOES MARKETHON MEAN?

Word invented by Didier REUTER, its Founder. It translates, in the perspective of a Federative European and International action, the idea of Market Economy applied to social and the idea of physical participation of men and women in the field.
